Travel update!

Just a quick word to let you know that we are safely in London. I am writing at an internet cafe near the National Gallary, which was amazing! Peter has been sick so Evelyn stayed with him while Chris, Elizabeth and I visited Regent Park corps, The Museum of London, Sherlock Holmes Museum and the Gallary. We are having a great time!

Please keep Peter in prayer, that he will be better for our last day in London tomorrow.

We will keep you up to date as we can. Thanks for your prayers!

That is my sister Mary-Kay in the very bottom left-hand corner. And I think I recognize a few other people too, like Nina and Anya!

Yesterday was Tim's birthday. The day began with Chris and Elizabeth cooking bacon and sunny-side-up eggs, and he was spoiled throughout the day. In the evening we went to the corps for teen group, where we watched the movie "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" (the answer to life, the universe and everything is 42!) and they helped to celebrate his birthday.

A close-up view of the delicious cake the young people gave to Tim for his birthday. It had coconut on the outside, strawberry cream on the inside, chocolate and vanilla cake and fresh fruit on top. It was delicious!

It's Tim's birthday!

Today, although it was overcast and sprinkling off and on, we decided to explore the Toompea area of Old Town Tallinn. The view from the old city walls (built something like 600 or 700 years ago) is amazing. Here are Peter, Chris and Elizabeth showing their cheeziest smiles. There is a little green area on your way from the train station to Raekoja Plats (Town Hall Square) where we stopped to explore. Peter was especially facinated by the deer.

It has been a while since we put pictures on the blog, so here are some to give you a glimpse of our life lately. Peter and Elizabeth are best friends, and often spend hours playing together. They were pretending that their bears were babies the other day, and Peter kept speaking for his baby in a cute little high-pitched voice. 

Peter loves playing with the Lego Duplos he has, but Elizabeth gets truly creative with them. She was very proud of this cross she made in red, yellow and blue.

During a recent trip to Tartu, we actually did the tourist thing and had the kids take their picture in these cut-outs of traditional Estonian clothing.

During a recent visit to Tartu, Peter got to see his best friend Lauri. Peter misses him very much and whenever we have prayer he always reminds us to pray for Lauri.

This is a picture of our apartment building taken on re-independence day, which is why the flag is flying. Our apartment is on the lower level, which is the three windows on the side directly above Chris and Evelyn's heads.
