Major Hilda Clark has been bereaved by the Promotion to Glory of her husband, Gordon, on Friday, April 23, 2010, from Asbury Park, NJ. Gordon had been ill for a lengthy period and is now "Safe in the arms of Jesus". The Celebration of his life will take place on Wednesday, April 28, at the Asbury Park Corps, 605 Asbury Ave. Asbury Park NJ, with viewing at 10 a.m. and the service at 11 a.m. It will be conducted by the Corps Officer, Major William Furman. Please pray for Hilda, loving wife of Gordon; daughter, Major Susan Kelly of Bloomfield, NJ; sons, Captain Tim Clark of Estonia, and Thomas Clark who is a Nazarene Pastor in Dennis, MA. 1CO 15:50 I declare to you, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed-- 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: "Death has been swallowed up in victory."

RO 8:22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23 Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. 24 For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? 25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
