We made it!

We made it safely to America and are now at the condo in Nanuet, NY the Army has provided for us. Our flights were uneventful and everything went well; thank you all for your prayers.

But we are all exhausted. It is only 6:45 at night (1:45 a.m. Estonia time), so everyone but Tim is already fast asleep. Tomorrow Evelyn will go to a day of prayer and fasting at THQ and the rest of the family will get settled in here. But now it's time for me to go to bed as well! Thanks again for keepng us in your prayers.

Pictures of the day--25 October

It's hard to believe that tomorrow morning at 7 (midnight New York time!) we will be getting on a plane and leaving Estonia for a month. We will change planes in Amsterdam and then it is on to Newark. We will keep blogging and posting pictures as much as possible while we are there, so keep checking back. And please keep us in your prayers as well; we will need them!

For those who we will see in America, here are some family pictures so you remember what we look like. For those who we leave behind in Estonia, they are so you don't forget!

Pictures of the day--24 October

Peter lets Elizabeth do just about anything with him, even do his hair like a sumo in the Veggietales video!

We had an Estonia Regional Congress at the corps a week and a half ago. Here is Elizabeth in the children's meeting.

Pictures of the day--23 October

A few weeks ago, Chris, Elizabeth and Tim went to the top of Tallinn's most notable structures: Oleviste Kirik (St. Olev's Church). It dates back to the 12th century and at one point, for around 100 years, was the tallest building in the world!

It was a long climb, so you could believe the claim about how tall it is.

Finally, we neared wooden stairs to the observation deck.

The view of Tallinn and the sea were breathtaking.

A spectacular view of some of the other historic buildings in Tallinn.

I was really taken by the beauty of the city.

Some of the towers along the old city wall which is still intact. If you haven't been to Tallinn yet, now you can see why you should visit!

Another day at Mousam Lake in June. Peter loved to be by the water, although he didn't like to go in.

Elizabeth found lots of shells.

Peter enjoyed some fishing!

Elizabeth had a chance to swim with him, too.

And so did Chris!

We went out to eat and Sasha enjoyed a fresh Maine lobster.

But Peter wasn't too thrilled about it!

Pictures of the Day--20 October

Although Elizabeth's birthday isn't for another month, she really wanted to celebrate with her friends in Estonia, so we had a party for her today.

After having a light lunch together, they made frozen bananas together, dipping them on chocolate and covering them with goodies like nuts, sprinkles and coconut.

Peter just enjoyed using the banana to lick chocolate off of!

Then it was time for cake. This year, Evelyn only caught one of the cake decorations on fire; much better than last year!

After that, Elizabeth showed her guests how to make little food items and other creative things from clay.

Then we played games. Here is Chris and Sofia in a race rolling apples with their noses.

Then it wastime to open presents.
